male/neutered
short-hair
white & orange
1.5 years old
Orson was found, abandoned by his mother when he was just a few
days old. He ended up in the care of a local rescue group and was
being bottle fed by a volunteer. We were contacted to see if we
had a nursing mother cat who might be able to accept Orson as one of
her own. Fortunately, at that time, we had a mother cat named
Polly with four kittens of her own, that were just a few days older
than Orson. Polly graciously became his foster mother and raised
him as one of her own. Polly and her kittens have all been
adopted, but Orson, perhaps because he is quite shy, has not yet found
his forever home. He is very playful and puts on a big friendly act,
rubbing around his foster mom's legs and rolling around on the floor as
if asking for a tummy rub, but he shies away when she reaches out to
him. It will take a bit of patience, but we feel that he will
eventually come around and learn to enjoy being petted. If you
would like to meet this handsome boy, please call and talk to one of our
volunteers.
